Safety & Health Policy Statement
Safety and Health are integral parts of the business processes and corporate policy of AB Werkt Zuid-Nederland. The management of AB Werkt places great value on the Safety and Health of its employees. After all, our employees are our most important asset.
With this policy statement, the undersigned declare that protecting health, preventing safety risks, providing information and training, organizing resources, and promoting well-being—both for our own employees and third parties—are given high priority throughout all levels of AB Werkt Zuid-Nederland.
Our Safety and Health policy will at least comply with legal requirements. Where applicable, company plans, project plans, and policy matters related to the company will be prepared and executed according to VCA and VCU regulations.
The objectives of our policy are:
- To provide information and training as often as necessary, so that safe working is considered second nature, enabling our employees to participate in these sessions.
- To establish and record agreements with hirers and clients to ensure that safety rules, and thus the Safety and Health of our employees, are respected.
- To raise awareness about (preventive) safe and healthy working with the goal of sustainably promoting the vitality of our employees.
- To assess the working environment and conditions to ensure optimal safety for employees, temporary workers, clients, and third parties, thereby preventing personal injury and material damage.
- To provide our employees with thorough information and clear safety instructions regarding the use of tools, machinery, and required personal protective equipment to prevent accidents, material damage, or environmental harm.
- To promote and encourage a clean and tidy working environment, which contributes to safe and healthy working conditions for our employees.
- To continuously evaluate (near) accidents in order to establish an ongoing improvement cycle.
- To conduct annual satisfaction surveys among employees and clients, including aspects of Safe and Healthy working.
- To regularly hold personal conversations with employees, with a focus on safe working, vitality, and sustainable employability.
- It is our aim, both for humanitarian and business reasons, to take all necessary measures and provide resources that lead to safe, healthy, and pleasant working conditions (as well as environmental protection).
Full cooperation from all employees of AB Werkt Zuid-Nederland is expected in implementing this policy to guarantee the safe and healthy working environment that is expected of us.
This policy statement will be evaluated at least every three years and updated as necessary.
